The Wombat Awareness Organisation (WAO) is a non-profit organisation specialising in large-scale rescue and rehabilitation of the Southern Hairy Nosed Wombat (Lasiorhinus latifrons).

Our aim is to revolutionise the perception of wombats, promoting welfare and conservation of the species.

The organisation is based in South Australia and requires your assistance in raising funds to purchase and set up a dedicated rescue and rehabilitation centre for the Southern Hairy Nosed Wombat. They are working together with Department of Environment and Health, RSPCA and Bob Irwin just to name a few.
